Composition Techniques

Lines
The red and white lines of the flag lead your eye to the bag pipe player.

Simplicity

This is a good example of simplicity because the main focus of the photo is on the statue of liberty and the flag. and by puting it against a blue sky with the light behind it makes it stand out.

Avoiding Mergers
This photographer made sure there is nothing taking attention from the main subject in the photo. The man in the photo does not have a border merger nor does he have near mergers.

Framing

In this photo there is a dark frame around the man the boy and the flag. The darkness makes a square like frame to bring out the man and the boy.

Balance

In this photo there is geometrical balance. Both sides of the photo are equeal to eachother. There are men on both sides of the coffin.

Rule Of Thirds

The focus of the picture is on the rail and the man. This is a great example because the rail is on the bottom line and the man is on the right line.
